
Ken Manson | President
Over 35 years experience with National Commercial Property Management firms including Gerald D. Hines Interests (Hines), Cadillac- Fairview Urban Development, Peachtree Center Management Company, JMB Properties Company, COMPASS Management & Leasing, and Grubb & Ellis. During his career Ken has had responsibility for multiple client portfolios as large as 200,000,000 square feet and single client Facility Management portfolios as large as 90,000,000 square feet. He has personally opened large office properties in Chicago, Cincinnati, and New Orleans, and has supervised the opening of large office properties in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Hartford. During his time at COMPASS Management & Leasing he was EVP, National Operations and was responsible for development of the first computerized performance measurement program in the industry. The system was branded “Magnet” and won the 1996 Arthur Anderson Award for implementation of new technology. The program was integral to the growth of COMPASS into a 200,000,000 square foot company in the eight years of its existence. Ken has authored several articles for National Real Estate Publications, has been a speaker at National industry meetings, earned his CPM in 1978, and is recognized as a thought leader in the Property Management industry. Ken holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a Major in Finance. He was Cadet Corps Commander of the Air Force ROTC program and was a pilot for the U.S. Air Force from 1969 through 1973. He served in both Vietnam and Korea.
Katie O’Sullivan | Vice President, Residential Division
Over 17 years experience in Commercial Property Management primarily in large office and industrial properties. Katie has managed individual properties as well as portfolios as large as 5,000,000 square feet for clients as diverse as IBM, GE Capital, GSA, Matsushita, Leo Burnett, and Nestle USA. Katie brings to the Residential Division her uniquely effective skills in customer service and financial management. She is a high energy person who is known for getting things done in a high quality manner while investing all parties in the process. Her previous experience includes employment with Cousins, Wells Properties, CBRE, and Grubb & Ellis.
Nick Cawood | Business Development, Government, Corporate Facilities, Education
Over 30 years experience in the design/build industry including business development and senior management experience. Previously he was COO of The Facility Group which provided design/build services for Fortune 500 companies and EVP of international consulting firm AECOM Technology. He holds a B.S. in Building Science from Clemson University.
Chris McCall | Senior Property Manager, Office Properties
Over 20 years experience in commercial property management. She has managed over twenty office, retail, and industrial properties during her career. Chris has been instrumental in implementing Sustainability initiatives and achieving LEED certification at several of her properties including LEED Silver for Existing Buildings at Centergy. She is unique in her ability to deliver a consistent high-quality service environment while continuously working to improve her properties and their services.
Joseph Sorbet | Director of Technical Services
Responsible for development of energy management practices and strategies as well as oversight of standard engineering practices at Fifth Street. Joe has over 25 years of industry experience with organizations as diverse as the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Hines, and ING Clarion. His expertise is especially valuable to Fifth Street during the start-up of new accounts, training of Operating Engineers, and trouble shooting of mechanical and electrical problems.
Jelena Butler CCIM | Business Development, Chattanooga
Jelena is a commercial real estate broker and has worked as an executive responsible for site selection, marketing, project management and operations. Jelena holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, and is a licensed Realtor in both Tennessee and Georgia.
Keith Crawford | Controller, Finance & Accounting
Over 25 years experience in real estate accounting and Finance. Keith oversees all of the accounting and financial reporting for Fifth Street, Kim King Associates, LLC; and YLH Construction Company. He also coordinates with the tax accountants and audit teams for each company. Keith provides the discipline, process, experience, and judgment that ensure that our clients receive accurate reporting on time.
Bethani Oppenheimer | Director, Human Resources
Bethani joined Fifth Street in 2007 after a career in managing non-profit arts organizations in Atlanta, overseeing operations, marketing, development and human resources. She is responsible for all aspects of Fifth Street’s human resources practices, including recruiting, compensation, benefits and employee relations. Bethani is a native of Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Management.
